- תְּיָקָא, תְּיָיקָא, תִּיאָקָא,(תֵּיקָא) m. (contraction of תיעק׳; v. מַעֲקֶה; cmp. Arab. waḳay) 1) railing, gallery. Targ. O. Deut. 22:8 (Y. תֵּיאַק גיפופין; h. text מעקה). Targ. 1 Kings 6:10 תֵּיקָא (h. text יציע). 2) trnsf. safety, place to stand on or lean against. Targ. Y. Lev. 26:37 ת׳ למיקום (h. text תקומה).
